Peerpedia Privacy Policy

Peerpedia is a private network where founders answer each other's questions. This policy covers the Peerpedia mobile app, the WhatsApp service, and peerpedia.ai.

What we collect

• Identity: your name, WhatsApp phone number, and business profile (what you build, where you sell, your experience). The profile is built from your conversations with Peerpedia — we don't run signup forms.
• Your conversations with Peerpedia: messages, voice notes (transcribed to text to process your question), and files you attach. Voice recordings are processed for transcription and are not used for any other purpose.
• Your questions and answers: the substance of what you ask and what you share, which is the product — see "How your knowledge is shared" below.
• Usage data: app sessions, screens viewed, and actions taken (e.g. opening a card, sending a question). Collected by Peerpedia itself — we use **no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs**.
• Device data: a push-notification token for your device.

How we use it

• To answer your questions — including finding the member whose experience matches, with the routing rules below.
• To notify you: your answers, your daily cards, and the occasional request to help a peer. Three notification types; you can turn any of them off.
• To improve the product, using our own aggregate usage data.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We share data with service providers only as needed to run Peerpedia (cloud hosting, message delivery, speech-to-text, and AI model providers that process conversations to generate responses), each bound to use it solely to provide the service.

How your knowledge is shared

This is the heart of the product, so it is explicit:

• Answers and lessons you contribute carry your name by default — that attribution is the value of the network, and it is explained before you contribute.
• You can mark any question private: peers see the question and situation, never your name. Questions on sensitive topics are private-flagged automatically.
• You can ask for anything you've shared to be anonymous instead of named, at any time.
• You see everything the network holds from you, in the app ("Your knowledge"), and can correct or update it at any time. Corrections take effect on your say-so.
• Your knowledge is visible only to Peerpedia members — never published publicly, never provided to third parties.

Messaging

Peerpedia operates over WhatsApp. Message "STOP" at any time and Peerpedia will not message you again. Notifications from the app can be disabled per type in your device settings or in the app.

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained while you are a member. You may request deletion of your account from within the app (Account → Delete account) or by messaging Peerpedia. On deletion we remove your identity and conversations; you choose whether knowledge you contributed stays in the network (anonymised or attributed) or is removed with you.

Security

Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure; conversations and knowledge are protected by per-member access rules enforced in the database. Access by the Peerpedia team is limited to operating the service and is logged.

Children

Peerpedia is for business founders and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll notify members in the app of material changes to this policy.
