Peerpedia Privacy Policy

Peerpedia is a private network where founders answer each other's questions. This policy covers the Peerpedia mobile app, the WhatsApp service, and peerpedia.ai.

What we collect

• Identity: your name, WhatsApp phone number, and business profile (what you build, where you sell, your experience). The profile is built from your conversations with Peerpedia — we don't run signup forms.
• Your conversations with Peerpedia: messages, voice notes (transcribed to text to process your question), and files you attach. Voice recordings are processed for transcription and are not used for any other purpose.
• Your questions and answers: the substance of what you ask and what you share, which is the product — see "How your knowledge is shared" below.
• Usage data: app sessions, screens viewed, and actions taken (e.g. opening an answer, sending a question). Collected by Peerpedia itself — we use **no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs**.
• Device data: a push-notification token for your device.

How we use it

• To answer your questions — including finding the member whose experience matches, with the routing rules below.
• To notify you when there is something real: an answer to your question, a question only you can help with, or word on where things stand. Nothing else. You can turn notifications off at any time.
• To improve the product, using our own aggregate usage data.

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We share data with service providers only as needed to run Peerpedia (cloud hosting, message delivery, speech-to-text, and AI model providers that process conversations to generate responses), each bound to use it solely to provide the service.

Third-party AI services

Peerpedia is built on AI models run by other companies. When you use it, the following is sent to them and nothing more: the messages you write, the voice notes you record, the files you attach, and your profile.

• Anthropic's Claude, run on Amazon Bedrock — writes Peerpedia's replies from your messages and the lessons in the network.
• Groq (Whisper) — turns your voice notes into text.
• Cohere, run on Amazon Bedrock — turns your questions and the network's lessons into search embeddings so they can be matched.
• Parallel — runs the web searches Peerpedia makes on your behalf; it receives the search query, not your conversation.

Each provider processes this data only to provide the service, may not use it for advertising or sell it, and may not keep it or train models on it. We ask for your permission before any of this happens: in the app, before you enter your phone number, and once more on your next open if you joined before this screen existed. How your knowledge is shared

This is the heart of the product, so it is explicit:

• Your questions are private. They are never published or shown to other members. The one exception: when we ask a founder to help with one of your questions, that founder sees the question and who is asking.
• Answers and lessons you share carry your name. That attribution is the value of the network. An answer is passed on only with your name on it; if you would rather not be named, what you told us is kept private, for your own use, and given to no one.
• You can keep any lesson private. A private lesson is never shown to anyone else.
• You see everything the network holds from you, in the app ("My knowledge"), and can correct or update it at any time. Corrections take effect on your say-so.
• Your knowledge is visible only to Peerpedia members — never published publicly, never provided to third parties.

Messaging

Notifications from the app can be turned off in the app (Account) or in your device settings. On WhatsApp, message "STOP" at any time and Peerpedia will not message you there again.

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained while you are a member. You may request deletion of your account from within the app (Account → Delete account) or by messaging Peerpedia. On deletion we remove your identity and conversations. When you leave, you choose whether the lessons you contributed stay in the network under your name or are removed with you.

Security

Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure; conversations and knowledge are protected by per-member access rules enforced in the database. Access by the Peerpedia team is limited to operating the service and is logged.

Children

Peerpedia is for business founders and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll notify members in the app of material changes to this policy.
